For a long time I wasn’t a healthy single mommy. There are so many personal things in my life I checked-off in my to-do list. I watch over my kid, had a clean house, I work and live day in and out without any excitement until one day I woke up with a nagging feeling that I need to do more. I felt the world needs me and my talent “I need to take control of my life, do something and make a difference.” And so I did.
I believe I am here to inspire moms everywhere, single moms everywhere that they too can make a difference.
There are so many reasons you are a single mom and we will not dwell into that. Whatever the reason was all I am for is the fact that you are doing all that you can to survive this trying stage of your life becoming a healthy single mommy.
So what does it takes and how to become a healthy single mommy you ask? Its very simple, be inspired and get inspired by other single mom/parents who are doing it gracefully. As a single and a mommy we have goals for ourselves and goals for our children all we need is to find the balance and strive hard to do so by following these simple advice.
“If we want to inspire our children to greatness we, ourselves, must dare to be great. If we want them to experience lives that are full of fun, joy, fulfillment, challenges and rewards, we must make an example of our own lives.”
Here are five tips to become a healthy single mommy:
1) Create a vision
Take some time to visualize the life you desire, your ideal life. Imagine everything in color and texture as if you are already living it. The more you see your vision the more inspired you will become. The more you think about this vision the more you will actively pursue it.
2) Build a support team
Life and work can make everyone feel overwhelmed and isolated, so having a support team with the same interest you have and will support you. Find people with the same interest that supports your vision. Go seek things that will reduce your stress in life and find things that gives you joy and pleasure. Focus on the ones that you love doing. Find help for the rest.
3) Explore
Do your research. Seek different resources such as the internet on what you can do on your spare time or rahter what you wish you can do if you have spare time.
4) Take risks
There is always the first time for everything. As moms, we tend to be nurturing, caring, careful and cautious. Its great for raising kids, but not for creating your ideal life. Its scary to leave your comfort zone, but its also exciting. Nudge yourself to try something new. Challenge yourself. Let yourself climb higher than you thought possible. Don’t be afraid of stumbling, you’ll get back up and try again!
5) Surround yourself with other inspired moms
I can’t tell you how important it is to be supported by other like-minded people. We parents tend to work in isolation in our homes. We don’t have a company water cooler where we can bounce ideas off other people. We rarely do power lunches to connect and get inspired. It is important to connect. To know that we are not alone with our hopes and fears. And to find answers to our questions.
