After seeing that picture of Suri Cruise daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, I had two thoughts in mind, “wow this kid is vain” and “is that safe for toddlers?”

Although it looks cute I don’t I believe that toddlers who are still growing-up developing their bones and ligaments should not be allowed to wear high-heels everyday. Kids 0-8 at least should wear comfortable and soft padded shoes so they can maintain proper posture and balance and that their bones will develop right. Heck, even adults should not wear heels everyday as its bad for the feet and blood circulation, what more of a child.
I don’t care if the shoes Suri wore were ballroom dancing shoes, heck there are flats and comfortable ballroom dancing shoes for kids. As parents we shouldn’t give in to the whims of our kids especially if we know it won’t be good for them.
Matthew Dairman, a Suffolk, Va., foot and ankle surgeon and a spokesman for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, urges parents to limit wear to once or twice a week for four hours at a stretch — if at all. Another important factor, he says, is difficulty in keeping kids from running, which could make those in heels more susceptible to ankle sprains or broken bones.

oo nga parang hinog sa pilit ang dating hehe
