Useless Laws

Last May 10, the Philippines held the first automated elections. As of now, the 12 Senators to complete the 24 senatorial positions were already proclaimed. We are now awaiting the proclamation of the new President of the Philippines but honestly I am not too keen on this proclamation as I feel this election was a big failure.

Personally, I feel we don’t need any law makers anymore. What we need are law enforcers who will strictly implement the laws that were passed. People working offshore don’t need to go to courts or hire a Texas Maritime lawyer to defend them of their rights and claims by inconsiderate employers. Single moms like us don’t need to beg for financial assistance from the biological father of their children because the law stipulates this as a right and not a privilege.

I definitely agree at having a constitutional amendment because some laws are inapplicable already while some are redundant. But I don’t agree to having a parliamentary form of government because its already tantamount to having a martial law and communism.
