Personally, I don’t believe in investing on a whole life insurance because we never be sure if the company we invested with all our hard earned money will exist at the time we would need the funds or our retirement 30 years from now. There have been so many incidents reported about insurance companies folding up and investors who were not able to get a reasonable amount of compensation. And with the ongoing economic crisis I don’t think its safe to have one since everyone is trying to make ends meet. I’d rather survive today than invest on a future I never know will come.
But for some its a safety precaution and some sort of counteracting the bad consequences in their life. My mom and dad had an argument about this before because mom was for it and dad was not. He said it was like wishing someone dead while mom thinks its wishing someone to live longer.
How about you? What do you think of life insurances? Do you think its wise to own one or its just an unnecessary expense?
