In-Love With The Idea Of Love

I watched the advanced screening of Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie and I must say it was very entertaining. There are a lot of romantic and sweet moments.

People their age who is just graduating from High School are still idealistic when it comes to love. At that age we thought we know everything and tried everything, when in fact whatever we experienced in high school is nothing compared to what we will encounter in College and thereafter.

I think Bella Swans was in-love with the idea of love and not the person who is at present the apple of her eyes and object of her affection.

She knew in deep inside that Jacob Black is the one who is best for her. She will experience all the human experience she can ever have and she doesn’t have to change to something she is not and say goodbye to all that was dear to her.

She is challenged by the fact that Edward Cullen is somehow unattainable. Women loved to be challenged. Edward on the other hand only wants Bella as she is a symbol of something he wasn’t and couldn’t have. Both of them feel they are something they have to conquer.

Its more of an obsession than love and there is a thin line between loving, wanting, and needing.

Obviously Jacob is the one who feels true love here for Bella. He will do everything for her. He is always there when he needs her even if the love is unrequited the way he wanted it to be.

“I will love you until your heart stops beating!” then later on retract even if it stops.
