As soon as I learned that my first born has autism, I decided not to have another baby anymore. I know its sad and unfortunate because I wished to have 12 kids when I was younger and inexperienced before.

I don’t want to bear another child now in fear of the next one to be the same as my first, because the chances are high and I know a lot of moms who had their first born with autism, the next will be and has the same problem.

Life is already difficult taking care of a child with special needs what more having more than one. I am glad that she’s older now and she matured in a way. I wished I gave her a sibling to play with and take care of her when I’m gone but my fear always gets the best of me.

Also, I don’t want to bear a fatherless child on my next one, it would be foolish of me to do so again. If ever I would I hope with someone who can love and accept my daughter for what she is and take care of her as his own flesh and blood. If not, I will remain a single forever and enjoy my panasonic home theater system alone in my room. Sigh.

When I won the HTC sensation android phone at the SMART HTC event I attended almost a month ago, my Ipod Touch 4 is now a property of my daughter. I also gave my Nokia e71 to my older sister who is having problems with her Experia.

I’m actually looking for HTC accessories and accessories for ipod so my daughter and I can both maximize the use of our gadgets.

She’s techie than the average kid and she can play those games in the iPod I haven’t played before.

My daughter eats a mountain of cooked rice. In fact she can eat an entire casserole full of cooked rice on her own.

As someone who tried dieting before I know the fact that rice is the main reason why I have my belly bulges. The time I minimized my rice intake my tummy started to look less bloated.

My mom feels I’m being mean with my daughter putting her on a diet. But I feel meaner if I let her be. So her meal plan is less rice and more soups so she still get that full feeling she get from rice.

I also indulge her with her vinegar and garlic cravings because they are known as a natural fat burner which is good for her health.

But yeah, the problem now lies in her stinking breathe! Waaaaaaah!

I’m saving up all my money for my daughter and I’s Birthday-Christmas celebration. You see we will be going to Malaysia in January and I don’t want to spend so much for the Christmas!

So instead of having elaborate preparations, buying tons of gifts for my relatives and friends and godchildren, I decided to recycle by giving them GCs Sorry but I have to be practical. Anyway the GCs are good as cash!

Honestly I think GCs are better than buying kids clothes or toys they don’t really want. Its the best christmas gift ideas for parents so as to teach them the value of money because they are limited to the amount in that GC.

How about you how do you teach kids the value of money?

My daughter will be 9 years old in January and I can’t believe how tall she is right now. She is now as tall as the tip of my nose when we are both standing and it looks like she will get taller in the years to come.

I’m proud and anxious at the same time because if she becomes bigger than me I won’t be able to control her when she becomes fussy or she throws tantrums or have seizure (God forbid).

This makes me wonder if at my age there is a human growth hormone I can take to be able to level with my daughter. I know this sounds weird but I’m so petite compared to my daughter’s big frame. I should also be going to the gym to gain strength and start training my daughter more to be obedient so one word is enough for her to behave.

My daughter is so mischievous, she likes to climb up the stairs ad on shelfs, chairs, tables and anything that she can climb. There were times that I wasn’t able to see what she was doing and she fell from the stairs leaving her a huge booboo.

I wish I had a full time nanny to watch over her 24/7 but its hard to find a trust worthy and reliable house help these days. I wish I have eight pairs of eyes to look out for her and 8 pairs of hands and as stretchable as plastic man. But lol I would look like a weird mutant by then haha!

Maybe installing a convex mirror on top of my work area will allow me to see whatever she’s doing while I’m doing my work at my desk. I think I should get one soon.

How about you moms? What security measures you take to make sure your child is safe playing alone?

Deciding about your child’s education is one of the most crucial decision in their life that will either make or break them. With the quality of education in public schools and the expensive tuition in private schools parents are now considering to have their children home schooled.

However home schooling is also a big decision as it will take for one parent to either leave his or her present work to the the teacher of their children or will have to juggle all the time he has to fulfill both duties as an employee, a teacher and a parent.

I suggest before you decide on the type of education you will give your children you do some research and consider an Online School that can help you organize your child’s curriculum easily and will give you tips to a successful home schooling.

Will you ever consider home schooling or you rather stick the the traditional form of education?

More than 30 years ago, when I was still inexistent, mothers all over the world don’t spend too much money during pregnancy. They rely on natural stuff and know instinctively what to eat and what not.

These days, doctors intervene with every move of a soon-to-be-parent with the prenatal check-ups and recommending them to undergo several test and take several prenatal vitamins to augment their vitamin deficiency and supplement what the baby inside needs.

But personally I feel this during pregnancy interventions are the reason why there is an increasing number of children with developmental problems these days. Imagine from 1 out of 150 30 years ago the number has increased to 1 out of 60 and the number is rapidly increasing.

I believe a mothers womb is built with all the vitamins and nutrients a developing baby needs and the other interventions being implemented are unnecessary.

As a mom I am very cautious when it comes to spending. I feel guilty whenever I buy something for myself and not buy anything for my daughter or sometimes I’d rather buy something for my daughter and get me nothing. Like the other day when we were out in the mall and there was a sale everywhere, kids clothes, school supplies, ladies shoes and bags, camera and iphone accessories, if only I had an iPhone lol!

With this whole bunch of sale going around I ended up buying stuff for my daughter and nothing for me. Its no a surprise really. Although I miss the days when every payday I would buy something for myself but now as a mom I’m happier to spend for my daughter than myself.
